The fantastic ArtfulWears.com will be having an online trunk show on July 12th, with 30% off S/S Libertas bags and shoes. Tons of starlets love the "cutting-edge" shopping site, so why shouldn't we? Libertas aims to make beautiful shoes that are actually comfortable, and they even avoid use of pertroleum products, stay away from mass-production waste by using brass hardware, chrome-free leather, and always sell everything in recycled packaging. The company strives to shrink their carbon footprint, also.

Be sure to be at ArtfulWears.com on Sunday, July 12th, to get 30% off of your Libertas purchases!

umm, wow

Wow. That's all I can say. These sunglasses are just....awesome. Could I pull them off? Mm, that's a probable negative. But are they friggin' cool? YES. I still want them, even though they wouldn't get much wear. Ah, I'm just blown away, I can't even write! They are designed by Romina Karamanea, and were worn in the Spring/Summer 2009 runway. You can buy them for 195 pounds, just contact sales@rominakaramanea.com. How a human who can actually gather herself together to write something intelligent describes these beauts:

Romina Karamanea, the high end ready-to-wear brand has launched a limited edition collection of hand-made sunglasses for summer.

Unusual and unisex, the pieces are structural and architectural for people who like to stand out. Designs are quizzical and intellectual in muted colors: sand, flesh, and classic black. Lenses are graduated for a subtle and sophisticated style and finished with silver iceberg pin detail.

did i...

...ever show you my graduation dress? I think not! Well, I graduated like 3 weeks ago, but better late than never, right?

It was from the GO International Target line, and I'm obsessed with it. The zipper in the back is awesome.

We're blurry. But we're cute. :)

My brother and I...

Yay me and my dress!

Um, so, college tomorrow. Yes, I am going to college tomorrow! Crazy! AH! Since I plan on being super busy, I have scheduled some cool posts for you- make sure to let me know how you like them! I'll definitely be updating my twitter, follow me there to keep up with my adventures!

It's kind of strange, and seems completely random (even though it really isn't, he has been ill for some time), but he's no longer with us.

She's an icon in herself, and I admire her not only for her immense strength and beauty.

As being eco-conscious and green becomes more trendy, company after company starts claiming that their merchandise is completely Earth friendly, that everything is recycled, blah blah blah. But, how can you really know if what you wear is helping our world? Right, you can't. It's too big of a job to research every company you buy from, and you just buy what you like and can afford. I'm the first to admit that I'm not at all good about buying things to help, not harm, our home, and I should be much more aware of it. That's why Organic Fiber Apparel, a website selling only Earth-friendly clothing at reasonable prices, which also happens to have a very straightforward name, is such a simple thing that will help so many shoppers! Everything is in one place, so if you feel strongly about shopping for the planet, you can go and just buy everything that interests you without even thinking if it is good for the environment. For most people, they don't know who to really trust and want proof that it really is organic or recycled, and OFA has a Social Accountability Statement that includes their stance on safe and healthy workplaces, child labor, forced or compulsory labor, disciplinary practices, discriminatory practices, working hours and overtime, fair wages, environmental impact, and US compliance. You can buy organic, eco-fiber, or recycled- really, how much easier could it get?! Oh, and maybe I forgot to mention they have some great pieces, including some American Apparel basics. The one problem I have with the site is the lack of variety, but I believe it will becomes more built up and positively popular, so that could very well improve soon!

The Tolani scarves are so popular in Hollywood and I've seen way too many blogger giveaways with the zig-zag Tolani scarf. I really love the paisley print scarf, and I've been seeing it and lusting after it for quite some time. Jessica Alba is a humongo Tolani fan- she's been seen all over town wearing numerous prints and styles. She loves the paisley print as much as I do, as does Ashley Tisdale. Anyways, enough rambling about celebs and their scarves. Creative Contrast was kind enough to reward me with my very own pink paisley scarf!

Jess and the Tis...

My Tolani scarf!

Thank you to Douglas and Irina! Go to Creative Contrast to buy your own Tolani scarf in a huge variety of prints, as well as beautiful clothing and jewelry!

I don't know a lot about Shop Ruche, but from what I see, it's absolutely amazing! They have beautiful clothing and accessories with such a sweet feel to them, and the models they use are so super cute!

These are some of my favorites from the dresses and tops...how great is that last printed dress?! (p.s. click to see it on their website to buy with your discount code!!)

Something even better than pretty clothes? Discounted pretty clothes! That's right, I have a discount code for you to use! Just type in FashionFille at checkout for 10% off. Yay!

Visit Ruche right now! I can't wait to see what you get!

plate full 'o love

We all want to be like Cher in Clueless, but nobody can seem to develop that software she uses...seriously, in this day and age, everyone should have one of those in her (or his!) closet.

The closest thing I have found is My Fashion Plate. It's kind of cross between Weardobe and the Chictopia forums (maybe?). It has some pretty cool features, like "My Wardrobe", "Design Studio", "My Outfits", "Style Calendar", "My Budget", "My Suitcase", "My Clippings", and "My Wishlist." All pretty self-explanatory, and useful. It's a hassle to add items to your closet, but once you get in the swing of it, it's not too bad. There's also "My Stylist," which is basically a place to ask questions and get answers from fashionistas. Then of course, you can access all of your clothing and accessories to choose the perfect outfit, just like Cher! The tag line is Maximize Your Wardrobe, and it does, in a virtual way.

MFP describes herself as:
Launched in 2009, My Fashion Plate is a chic virtual fashion community and wardrobe management site that enables style-conscious individuals to maximize their wardrobes. A unique user-driven Web site providing free, personalized virtual closets, and real-time tips and services from professional stylists, My Fashion Plate helps users develop their individual styles with exclusive technologies and tools. Wardrobe organization, a complimentary and Body & Style Analysis, and a design studio with the ability to create, plan and track outfits are just some of the innovative features offered by the site. My Fashion Plate allows fashion-hungry members to consult professional stylists for wardrobe and outfit assessments, personalized look books, personal shopping services and fashion-related questions 24/7. With a comprehensive set of fun and engaging tools, My Fashion Plate gives anyone the ability to be a fashion-forward, trendsetter in a single click!

Go to My Fashion Plate now and decide for yourself- and tell me what you think!

I've been working on it for a while, but i'd love if you could all check out my tumblr! It's a completely random compilation of inspiring photos I find from unlimited sources, some random facts, some tidbits about myself,...just go look at it! Friend me on Tumblr, too! :)

the new cougar

...is a puma, if you didn't already know. ;)

Puma, the clothing company, not the animal or the 30-something woman craving a 20-something boytoy, has released a limited edition bag for Revolve Clothing. I took a peek, and immediately just thought, "WHOA! Awesome, so cool. I want it." The spider embellishment is just hardcore fabulousity, and the small embossed spiders detailed all over the bag are just as perfect.

Want to know all the deets? Straight from Revolve:
In support of the Rubell Family Collection and their latest exhibit "30 Americans," PUMA and conceptual artist John Armleder team up for the Reality Bag 2.

This limited edition collector's bag launched during Art Basel Miami 2009 as the latest in a series of collaborations between PUMA and contemporary artists. Created as portable gallery, the bag includes Armleder's signature spider emblem along with 11 pieces designed by artists featured in the Rubell Family Collection's latest show "30 Americans." For each bag sold, PUMA will donate $100 to the Contemporary Arts Foundation of the Rubell Family Collection.

Maybe if it wasn't $2400, my brain could at least ponder further...but no.

Oh, yeah, and holy crap, you have to hear what it includes (other than pure coolness)- a set of colored pencils, business cards, USB stick preloaded with a film by Jennifer Rubell, notepad with reproduced scribbles by artists, pouch & wallet, t-shirt, signed Reality display map, numbered certificate, and 30 Americans Exhibition Catalog. Uh-huh.

big winner (not whiner)

I did the drawing today for the winner of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's contest....watch to find out if it was you! I also did a little life of Fashion Fille fill-in- ch-ch-eck it out. (and a peeky at my outfit, duh.)

Yeah Yeah Yeah's contest winner!

I forgot to mention several things-
  • if I don't hear back from the winner within 5 days, I will pick a new one.
  • the link for my last alloy post (click!)
  • i didn't forget this but I LOVE YOU!
P.S. This is (sort of) my first vlog! (the teen.com TV ones don't really count....) Congrats to my little baby Fashion Fille for having her own little baby vlog!

push push push

I was alerted to a pretty stunningly awesome online style magazine the other day, and I will admit I begrudging and skeptically clicked on the link. Way too many PR agents email my inbox daily and sometimes make checking mail a choare, but I do read each one and do some research before sending it to my trash bin. But when I saw the first sight of PushIt.com loading- before the magazine had even been shown to me- I was already extremely impressed. Approximately 3 seconds later, the page was up and I saw the abounding features participating in Push It magazine...well, now I'm here, telling you about it!

You need to look through Push It- immediately! What to read first- news, style, fashion, music, people, beauty, art, travel,...or the Push It blog! Yes, they have a blog! It's fab, btw.

I didn't even tell you anything about the magazine itself; I'll leave it to you to find out for yourself. :)

P.S. Follow Push It on twitter. And follow me too!
