First romper experience. I really enjoyed wearing it- so comfy, very cute (if I can say so myself), and easy! Just a little inconvenient in the bathroom. Ahem.

Nick Verreo dressed Raquel “Chica Orbit” Jimenez with his Spring 2009 collection's gorgeous Orbit Mist blue dress adorned with a vintage Swarovski pin. This isn’t Nick’s first time dressing Chica Orbit- you can read all about it in his blog.

Mirla Sabino, the designer for ANK swimwear, created a custom made bathing suit for the Chica Orbit and showed it off with her collection at the Mercedes Benz Miami Swim Week. All of those that attended Mirla’s show were left in shock when they saw the gorgeous Raquel walk down the runway with this Navy and White monokini. And of course don’t forget to look at her bum….where Mirla decided that the Orbit logo fit best!

The title relates back to something a friend of mine said- he really wanted me to wear this dress, and he picked it out a week or so ago, and I just never wore it. I finally wore it today and he said, "You're wearing the dress! Like 18 days later!" Um, yes. Best (read: worst.) story ever.

Super humid today. Very uncomfortable- don't even ask why I was wearing a cardigan, or why I kept it on all day. I ate chocolate frozen yogurt with extra salty pretzels tonight...all I can say to that is ohemfreakinggee. SO GOOD.

getting better

In my 1 year celebratory post, a few people commented saying they wanted more outfit posts. I completely agree with them, and I want more outfit posts, too! I'm so busy, and sometimes when I'm falling asleep I think, "Crap! I never shot my outfit today!" And, then, of course, there are the days my ensembles are not worth posting. Anyways, I will put more effort into both my clothes and photographing them. My roommate this summer is lovely enough to offer to take pictures sometimes, so that should be great for all of us! She took some of these ones. Enjoy, and look out for more!

Did you know that today is Fashion Fille's (the blog, not the girl writing it!) first birthday? Aw, so cute. I'm so proud- she's turning into such a lil' lady! But, for real, can you believe it's a year?! I sure can't! I would have never been able to imagine all the opportunities I've had through this blog, the people I've met, the things I've done! I'm ecstatic that I started, and I will not turn back. There are times when I'm so not in the mood, when my inbox is full of annoying PR agents emails supplying me with material that I'm completely uninterested, when I've pondered taking a break and starting a brand new blog in the future. But, no, I will not give up on this. I've become Fashion Fille, it has become as big a part of me as my real name. I've really come a long way, from my style, my growth of knowledge, my writing and professional communication skills, all the way to my confidence. None of this could have happened without all of you amazing readers- you don't always show that you're there (LURKERS!), but I know you are! Just this once, leave me a note, just let me know that you still care!

Now that's it's been a year, it is definitely time for change. I want to hear from you- give me negative and positive feedback, an idea, a suggestion, just a blurb that you think I should hear. Tell me everything- that is what the comment form says!

Also, to celebrate, I've put together all of my headers ever since the baby days. I've made all of them myself, with the help of random photos found all around. Enjoy them!

P.S. I haven't done an outfit post for months, and you're punishing me- my stats are tearjerkingly terrible right now, but at least I know why! They will hopefully start up again soon...I really hope so.
