Well. As you probably have noticed, my posting has become sporadic. I'm not going to do another rant/apology/unwarranted explanation. I'll say this- I love this blog; I love blogging; the passion has not diminished in the least; I want to post more. I need a break from everything to just think and have some me-time. I love being at school, but my time is constantly taken up, and when it's not, I'm stressing out over my unproductiveness. Please bear with me for a little longer-- I should have some more to talk about and time to talk in a few weeks. Of course, my Twitter and Tumblr are updated more than once an hour. :D

What are classic ugg boots?

Ugg Australia boots, which are all about accessible luxury, made their U.S. debut in 1978. The cozy, foot-friendly essentials we know and love today are a form of unisex--that's right, unisex!--boots made of Grade A sheepskin with soft, fleece lining on the inside. Classic Ugg boots are known for their extreme comfort and actually feel more like slippers than shoes.



How did classic Ugg boots become so popular?

Did you know the term "ugg" or "ug" was actually used before the Ugg Australia brand came along? "Ugg" was a generic term for this style of Australian-made sheepskin boot, and uggs were worn by quite a diverse crowd, including WWI and WWII pilots. However, the Ugg trend didn't officially start until 1978 when Brian Smith, an Australian surfer met with other Ugg-wearing surfers on the U.S. west coast. Eventually, Ugg boots blew up in 2000 after Oprah purchased 350 for her staff and featured the cozy boots on her "Oprah's Favorite Things" show. Other celebrities soon followed, including Jessica Simpson and Kate Hudson.

Not too long ago, I was itching to the max for a menswear watch. I was in love with the white Chanel J12, but that was obviously beyond even my dreams. The Michael Kors version was plausible, but still very expensive. Still, it is a great alternative to the gorgeous Chanel. I eventually moved on and got a different watch*, but I just recently was notified of the Swatch version of the original Chanel, and I'm impressed! You can shop for it here.

Sidenote: I received some great items from Christopher Drummond Beauty- everything is 100% natural and organic based. I got the radiance booster and eyeshadow in a gorgeous gold. Everything goes on smoothly and looks very natural and beautiful! I would definitely recommend any of the products.
