shopbop and seven

I've done a few collaborations with Shopbop in the past and have gotten awesome response from you guys, so we're working together again to give you the chance to win a shopping spree for one of my favorite online shopping sites. This time, I wanted to highlight the 7 For All Mankind jeans, specifically cropped jeans and distressed jeans. I've really become a pants girl recently- I've gone from wearing jeans maybe once a month to wearing jeans, cargos, and jeggings (and the list continues) pretty much everyday. Blame it on the cold weather at school or a new found appreciation for dungarees, but I'm not unhappy with the change! These styles from Shopbop are currently on my fave list- they're very unique but still totally wearable.

Anyways- let's cut to the chase. Leave a comment here with your email address to enter to win $100 for Shopbop to buy all the jeans (or anything else) your heart can desire. And, be sure to follow Shopbop on Twitter! You have until November 16th, 2010 at midnight EST to enter. Good luck!

you're my stress, you're my masseuse

You don't need my analysis and/or review of Runaway- watch it for yourself and you tell me what you think. I will mention that I'm quite blown away by the whole production and am extremely impressed with Kanye following through with his visions. I truly do respect his passion and knowledge for the fashion industry, as well as his unique ideas and artistic techniques.

Selita Ebanks is unbelievable. I cannot imagine looking at that in the mirror everyday. Goddamn!

My favorite parts of the film:

And, highlights in words: 1) absolutely beautiful shot of dancer's feet on pointe, 2) Kanye running through the woods like a Disney prince, 3) and 7) Selita rising from the flames, 4) and 6) Yeezy crooning in an adorable bowtie, 5) heart to heart in front of the sunset, 15) Ye to the rescue!, 7) and 10) I want that headpiece, 12) sheep!, 14) hey Michael Jackson, 16) is that an arm on the table?

not just lip balm

I was lucky enough to receive a few Carmex products last week- but these products did not include a Carmex lip balm, the only Carmex item I had used before. Just as it kept my winter lips soft, Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream locked in the moisture in my skin just as the air here is starting to get drying. I've been putting it on after I shower and before bed, and I wake up with supple skin with a very light scent. I hate when skin products leave a never-ending smell (Jergens Natural Glow, I'm talking to you), but this one has just enough scent to avoid that "unscented scent" (you know what I mean!!). The cream is great for elbows, knees, and free, and the lotion is perfect for the rest of me. I'm going to continue using it for a few weeks and see if I notice any difference in the overall moisture of my skin. I'll keep you updated!

This post brought to you by Carmex®. All opinions are 100% mine.

shopping for layers

shop nbc necklaces

I probably don't have to ask you twice what my favorite part about fall is. It's layering- but I don't adore only cardis and leggings. I love layering jewelry too, especially necklaces. ShopNBC has a fantastic selection of gold jewelry to choose from, all at reasonable prices. You can see my faves above...how cool are these pendants?

I wish I could focus more of my time on necklaces and layers...and blogging. This semester is really kicking me in the butt! Let me know if there is anything you'd like to see more or less of here. Keep up with me on Twitter to stay updated if this page gets a tad stale!

helping hand

I'm here to help you. To help you stay stylish, to help you keep entertained, to help you have someone to laugh at (LOL!). And, today, to help you win some Whooga boots. You can enter to win in two ways: 1) subscribe to Whooga Whooga UK newsletter and/or 2) Follow Whooga on Twitter.  They will draw boots for the winners at the end of each month and it's open to everyone, in all countries!

I'm also giving you an exclusive discount code to get 10% off on a pair of boots if you don't end up winning. Just enter 531FILLE at checkout to get the discount until October 26th.

Good luck! Oh, and you're welcome for the help.

I'm not sure what the strangest part of this post is: the length of time it's been since my last outfit post, the fact that I'm apparently a literally transparent person, or the setting of these photos. You decide.

I miss doing outfit posts more often, but there's just no time or good place or appropriate opportunities. This semester is way too busy to enjoy a large amount of it. I hope you can understand!

Yes, so I did finally find a few minutes to spare while waiting to leave for my roommate date to snap a few outfit shots. I didn't think I would end up actually posting them, so I do apologize for the awkward palm tree and lights falling in the background. Now you know the real me- apartment props reveal so much.

that time

It's getting to be that time again. You know, reddish orange leaves, crisp air, midterms, hot apple cider...

Fall. It's becoming true fall now. What does that mean? Time for jackets! I have a few fall and winter coats for this year, one of which is in a style I've been craving for a long time. It's a black, wool, hooded peacoat! It's cozy and can be worn with jeans, dresses, thick cardis...any and all of the above. The military trend is something I'm predicting to see in many jackets this season. Shoulder details, double breasted gold buttons, a boxier fit, sprinkled with cutesy anchors and badges, and in fresh shades like navy, brown, and deep forest green. Henri Lloyd's Madison jacket fits in this category perfectly. (PS, it comes in red, too!!) It can be bought online at Henri Lloyd, as well as in Henri Lloyd stores across the country.

What does your jacket look like this year? Do you dig the Madison?

month of pink

I'd be surprised if you told me you were unaware that this month is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Between the Facebook status updates about where you like your purse to sit (stupid updates won't contribute to helping the cause, sorry) and the pink ribbons being worn all over, it's hard to avoid. If I was home/had time to give, I would most definitely be going a benefit walk or helping with some type of event. Instead, I'll show you my favorite pieces from SZUL's Sparkle for a Cure collection. During the month of October, 15% of all the proceeds from these products will be going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Talk about donating your time to a good cause- just buy yourself a new piece of jewelry!

Click on the pieces you like to be directed to their page. Which out of my faves do you love?

Whenever I go virtual window shopping for you guys or for my own procrastination, I usually start off with a site like Shopstyle and enter broad search terms to find the items I'm looking for. It takes a lot of time (which is great for procrastination, but not so much when you actually have things to do.), and can get frustrating. I knew it wasn't super efficient, and that there had to be a better way. Funny thing is- there is a better way, and it was right under my fingertips.

Rightcliq by Visa is that solution. It allows me to collect pieces I adore from all over the internet with a simple click while I'm browsing, or ahem, doing my homework. This creates a Wishspace, which can be reviewed by friends so I can get their, and your, opinions before I buy. Rightcliq will safely store your info, hold your tracking and shipping data, and will simply make shopping online that much easier.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty thrilled with this product. Who What Wear has been using it (see them introduce it here), and I wouldn't be surprised if it became another tool I use everyday.

Try it out, and let me know what you think!

you can brush my hair....

More and a story to come with these...

take a ride down rambler's way

This post is brought to you by Rambler's Way Farm. All opinions are 100% mine.

Feel a soft, thin, piece of pure wool fabric draped around you. Getting goosebumps? Imagine that same material in your favorite leggings, your best camisole, or your cozy boyfriend cardi. Mmm, it sounds delicious!

If you got stuck at the word "wool" in my first sentence because you typically associate that itchy, hot, heavy material with that awful sweater stuffed in the back of your drawer, please think again. Ramblers Way Farm is a family business creating soft, comfortable next-to-skin worsted wool apparel entirely on American soil. So, not only do they churn out incredibly comfy-cozy items, but they're eco-friendly and a responsible textile company. I'm in love!

Which items catch my attention, you ask? Well, let's go on a little shopping spree. My first picks would be Long Janes, a Button Down Hoodie, and a few tanks and camis. What would you choose?

I'll leave you to pick out your favorites while I continue my dream of wearing clouds, thanks to Rambler's Way!
